Applying to the Koch Foundation consists of a two-step process:
Letter of Request (LOR) - The Koch Foundation accepts Letters of Request from January 1st through May 1st of each year for funding the following year. LORs can be submitted via the Foundation's web site or by mail to the Foundation's office. LORs must include a brief description of the project, cost, location and contact information of the organization applying.
If the Board of Directors of the Foundation is interested in the project, an application will be sent to the applying organization. For those who apply via the web site, an electronic application will be sent. Organizations applying by mail will receive a paper application. All applications must be returned within 90 days of receipt. All applications will be considered at the Foundation's Board Meeting the following February. Notification of grant awards will be mailed in March following the Board Meeting.
