Applying to the Koch Foundation is a two-step process. The first step is submitting a Letter of Request. The second step is completing an official application form.

The Koch Foundation accepts Letters of Request (LOR) from January 1st through May 1st of each year for projects to be funded and implemented the following year. (For example, Letters of Requests submitted in 2019 must be for projects which will be implemented in 2020). LORs can be submitted via the Foundation’s Online Request Portal or by mail to the Foundation’s office. LORs must include a brief description of the project, cost, location and contact information of the organization applying.

To submit a letter of request online, please click on the link below to access our Letter of Request and Grant Application Portal.  Beginning January 1st of each year organizations may register and submit a Letter of Request for the upcoming grant cycle. Only eligible organizations may submit Letters of Request. Due to the high volume of requests, receipt of an application is not guaranteed.

Beginning January 1, 2019, applicants will receive no more than three (3) grants from the Koch Foundation in any five (5) year period.
